douce broderie

A long time ago, I bought a white apron. (Yes, one more apron...) But this one was special, pure white,  virgin of any design, ready for a creative touch.

I opted for embroidery.

I've always admired the work of  Kazuko Aoki and her lovely tiny gardens. So, despite of my inexperience in embroidery, I tried to create my own little wild garden on the large front pocket of my white apron.

I'm pretty happy with the result. : )

father's day gift guide - stanley & sons

Here is an original gift idea for your daddy. A high quality apron made by Stanley & sons. The original Apron and Bag Company was a manufacturer of factory aprons and bags owned and operated by Stanley Grodzki in New York City. Inspired by the products his grandfather chose to run a business on, Chris Grodzki began Stanley & Sons Apron and Bag Co. in 2008. Now, every apron and bag is hand-made to order in Brooklyn, NY. This production process makes it possible to give closer attention to the details and construction that is important when crafting a product built to last.
